Geneva gathers a large community of NGOs, state representatives, academic institutions, the private sector, civil society and other entities. The city offers unique opportunities for dialogue and has the potential to strategically influence decision-makers and contribute to the protection of the right to health. The International Geneva Global Health Platform (the Platform) seeks to promote exchanges, discussions and collaborations in order to improve health policies at the global level. The platform aims to facilitate the assimilation and sharing of knowledge in the health field and better equip the future generation of health leaders.
Through the platform, the Global Health Centre engages with a wide-range of actors and acts as a laboratory of global health innovation. Since 2014, the Centre has provided a neutral space for reflections and debates, and developed a Swiss Directory of Global Health Actors to build cross-sectoral synergies. The activities of the Platform are supported by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).
