This ARP identifies how commodity trading companies in the agricultural sectors of cotton and coffee located in Switzerland intend to implement the counter-proposal to the responsible business initiative along their supply chain. Comparable legal developments at the international, EU and national level were analysed and interviews are conducted with agricultural commodity trading companies, industry associations, experts, NGOs, and one government entity. To conclude, the report outlines current challenges and offers specific recommendations.
