Riddhi Pandey is a PhD candidate at the department of Anthropology and Sociology (2020-24). Her research interests broadly include everyday life in prisons, visual and material cultures, and ethnographic writing. Her PhD research will engage with prison narratives from India to ethnographically document the everyday life of Indian prisoners, as well as to explore their narrative forms. Her master's thesis was an anthropological enquiry into contemporary prison writings from India.
