Profile
Alexa’s doctoral research is focused on labour union internationalism from the 1970’s and the International Union of Foodworkers (IUF). The research has a specific focus on individual plantations, factories, farms who unionized as employees of transnational corporations such as Coca-Cola. Her research areas are globalization since the 1970’s, social movements and new social movements, transnational corporations and their business models, and the history of the labour movement. Alexa graduated in 2016 from Seattle Pacific University with a double bachelor's degree in History and Interdisciplinary Studies (Sociology, Literature, Political Science). In 2018 she completed her master's degree from Aarhus University, Denmark in International and Global History. She is now a doctoral candidate at The Graduate Institute Geneva and a Teaching Assistant. Alexa is fluent in English and can read in French and Danish.
