Remembering the Legacy of Vilfredo Pareto

Once a year in the fall, students and faculty from the Department of International Economics go on a pilgrimage to the grave of Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto in the near village of Céligny.

Last Tuesday, faculty and students upheld their annual fall tradition, laying flowers on Pareto's grave.

Every economist has heard about Pareto's legacy, yet only a few may know that the researcher spent his last days in Geneva where he was also buried.

With a department seminar series bearing his name, Vilfredo Pareto is also present in our economists' daily lives.

Give me a fruitful error any time, full of seeds, bursting with its own corrections. You can keep your sterile truth for yourself.
