On June 6, 2016, the University of Groningen, the Investment Migration Council and the Global Migration Centre co-organised a conference on Investment Migration: Making Sense of the Trend, gathering leading scholars on the topic.

The conference was convened by Professor Dimitry Kochenov for the University of Gorningen and Chairman of the IMC, and by Professor Vincent Chetail, GMC Director.

The different panels discussed new trends and their causes through presentations and case studies.
