Dear Friends,
We are pleased to finally see you again at the 8th annual alumni reunion, which will be held on Saturday 25 September 2021, beginning at 1:00pm. For the occasion, we have concocted a hybrid programme to subtly combine formal and festive, intellectual and emotional moments, discoveries or sharing with students and meetings or memories between alumni.
Marie-Laure Salles, Director of the Institute for the past year, will open the event after the General Assembly of the Alumni Association, will share news from the Institute as well as ongoing reforms. In addition, Rafael M. Grossi, General Director for the International Atomic Energy Agency, will receive the 2020 Alumnus of the Year award. He will also speak with Director of Research Grégoire Mallard on The Future of Nuclear Energy: How to Ensure its Safety, Non-diversion, and Support for Sustainability in the Twenty First Century?
Finally, the Grand Morillon student residence will open its doors for a simple visit, or you may choose to stay for the gala evening, attended by Signe Krogstrup, Governor of the National Bank of Denmark, 2021 Alumna of the Year; Mervat M. Tallawy, a career diplomat, politician, women’s rights activist and first woman Ambassador from the diplomatic corps in Egypt, Lifetime Professional Achievement 2021 Award recipient; and Felix Staehli, co-founder of Impact Hub Geneva and Lausanne and member of the Board of Circular Economy Switzerland, Young Alumnus/Sustainability 2021 Award recipient.
Seating for the Gala dinner is limited to 170 people. Please contact us to reserve a table for you and your guests!
Kindly note that, according to a Swiss Federal Council's decision, a valid COVID certificate will be required to participate in any in-person event on September 25th.
Registration and payment are open until 19 September.

We have also organised our annual raffle to raise funds for a scholarship. In addition, there will also be an auction where you can bid on a jersey signed by players from the Swiss national football team, who were recent quarter finalists in the Euro2021. This collector’s jersey will be highly appreciated by football fans.
We hope to see many of you during this joyous occasion.
