Principal Collaborators: Souhail Belhadj and Oliver Jütersonke

In July 2014, the CCDP was mandated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to lead an internal reflection process on the causes of fragility in the MENA region.
 
Souhaïl Belhadj and Oliver Jütersonke, with inputs from Riccardo Bocco, Moncef Kartas, Keith Krause and Thania Paffenholz, drafted a short analytical study that was subsequently debated in an online discussion forum over a two‐week period. A revised version of the paper was submitted in October, and will orient SDC’s reflection on how to engage in the region in the coming years (Message 17‐20; Cooperation Strategies), in particular with regard to geographical and thematic priorities.
