Anchored in the five disciplines taught at the Graduate Institute – anthropology and sociology, international economics, international history and politics, international law, and political science – this executive course provides practically-oriented, methods-acquiring explanatory modules on each of these disciplines’ outlook on international affairs.

Objectives
 

  • Gain a deeper knowledge of the five core disciplines in international relations to cope with global issues
     

  • Identify the main challenges in international affairs relevant to your professional practice and/or organisation
     

  • Master skills applicable to your professional practice to make better decisions
     

  • Interact with top-notch faculty and expand your professional network in international Geneva to build bridges with experts from business, civil society, academia and governments

 

Who should apply?
 

Professionals in international organisations, governments, NGOs and private sector who are  interested in and impacted by the deep changes in international relations and wish to move forward in their career.                    

 

Certificate
 

Upon full completion of the course, you will receive a Graduate Institute Executive Education Certificate of Attendance for the Theories and Practices of International Relations programme. You have the possibility to earn 3 ECTS by submitting an assignment and paying an extra fee of 300 CHF.
