PROFILE
My research focusses on Switzerland's economic history through the lens of international trade from the Belle Époque to the significantly contrasting interwar period. Drawing parallels between the current era of globalization and the First Globalization, I examine how Switzerland, deeply intertwined with global trade, navigated the complexities of world trade, providing insights into the challenges and opportunities globalization poses. My focus is on the socio-economic impacts of trade exposure and the political economy of trade policy. This work straddles economics and history, employing a mix of quantitative techniques and historical methods.
I have received my Bachelor's in International Management at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, including a year at Tulane University's Freeman School of Business. Following this, I pursued a double degree Master in Economic Development and Growth (MEDEG), dividing my time between two institutions: the first year at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the second at Lund University in Sweden.
