Data Responsibility and Accountability to Affected Populations

Given the growing number of humanitarian crises, international organizations are leveraging artificial intelligence to improve their work. However, there are risks and concerns associated with using these technologies in fragile contexts. International organizations have put in place guidelines to account for people in vulnerable conditions. In this regard, this research paper seeks to determine how the power of artificial intelligence can be harnessed to ensure its ethical and responsible use in accordance with accountability to affected populations and data responsibility.
