Tyranny Tracker: Monitoring the Global State of Democracy

The Tyranny Tracker is a comprehensive qualitative assessment that monitors political freedom, tyranny, and human rights abuses in 206 countries and territories. The literature review and methodology aim to position the Tyranny Tracker index from the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) within a global framework. The report provides a critical analysis of this instrument. Thailand and Algeria were assessed using HRF's methodology, with findings and reflections on the process discussed. The assessment aims to provide insights into the state of political freedoms and human rights globally.
