Mobilities, Migrations and Boundaries

A multi-country analysis of the impacts of internal displacement

The aim of the project was to analyse primary dataset collected by IDMC from over 2,400 households in 8 countries to investigate the impacts of internal displacement on education and income. Specific analyses were conducted to identify differences among affected people, disaggregating by sex, age, disability status and main language spoken in the home. The project identified trends and overarching results across the different countries. Results were published in IDMC's 2022 Global Report on Internal Displacement report and the 2022 report on 'Informing better access to education for IDPs'.
