Against the backdrop of the increasing involvement of PSCs in migration management, this ARP studied the state of affairs concerning PSCs’ activities in this field, examined factors increasing or reducing the risk human rights violations, and identified best practices for migration management by private security. The final report highlights how migration management puts people in vulnerable contexts per se, but also how certain personal characteristics may exacerbate these vulnerabilities. The research outcomes were presented at the ICoCA General Assembly in December 2022.
