Gender, Race and Diversity

Ensuring gender and human rights are at the forefront of efforts to prepare for and respond to future pandemics

This research will focus on the Global Fund’s future role in strengthening pandemic preparedness, rather than emergency response, by taking stock of ongoing discussions surrounding the human rights and gender-related aspects of pandemic preparedness (PP) grounded in the International Health Regulations. As such, this research will primarily consider one of the mutually reinforcing contributory objectives of the Global Fund's new Strategy, “maximising health equity, gender equality and human rights” that underpin the new evolving objective of contributing to pandemic preparedness.
