Sustainable Trade and Finance

Best Practices for Mainstreaming Gender in Climate Finance

While there has been a growing focus on spotlighting gender gaps in climate finance, gender considerations have yet to be effectively mainstreamed in climate change programs. Our main research question is “what are key knowledge gaps and challenges towards mainstreaming gender in climate finance processes today, and how might these learnings be applied effectively to projects within climate finance?” To answer this, we developed a toolkit for project practitioners to integrate a gender perspective when implementing financing mechanisms in climate change adaptation and mitigation projects.
