CAMPUS DE LA PAIX
Campus de la paix is a network of buildings strategically located in the heart of International Geneva, extending from Place des Nations (the United Nations Headquarters) to the shores of Lake Geneva, and spanning two public parks.
At the heart of the Campus lies the architecturally stunning Maison de la paix, which opened in 2013 with funding from the Swiss Confederation and the city of Geneva.
The curved lines of its glass façades create a spectacular and elegant structure, which comes to life and evolves as the visitor moves around it.
Maison de la paix is the home of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Europe’s oldest school of international affairs, as well as several organisations working to promote peace and security.
The Campus also houses the Edgar et Danièle de Picciotto Student House, as well as the Grand Morillon Student Residence, the Rothschild building and two historic villas situated by Lake Geneva (Villa Barton and Villa Moynier).
