The CCDP has recently helped launch a new Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices in Conflict and Fragility Management at the Institute in collaboration with the American University of Central Asia.
The CCDP has recently helped launch a new Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices in Conflict and Fragility Management (DPP-CFM) at the Graduate Institute in collaboration with the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), set to start in July of 2018. Motivated by situations of protracted crisis and complex emergencies around the world, the new DPP-CFM aims to prepare participants to address the challenges of conflict and fragility management, and help shape sound development policies which translate into effective and sustainable operational practices. The new collaboration between the DPP-CFM and the CCDP represents a unique package in the heart of Geneva and brings together years of research experience with sound practitioner know-how from around the world.
The curriculum is designed to focus on the analytical, methodological and leadership skills needed to operate in complicated field settings, exposing students to a diverse global practice on conflict and fragility issues. The DPP-CFM is structured in three different modules, an intensive module in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, an applied practice module at the student’s place of work, and an immersion in Geneva at the Graduate Institute. Benefitting from instruction from both regional experts and international faculty from Switzerland, the DPP-CFM is directed at working professionals at mid-career to senior career levels who work or aspire to leadership positions in governments, international organisations and NGOs, as well as those in the private sector seeking relevant skills and exposure.
