Yuan Zi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the Graduate Institute and a research affiliate at the Centre for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR). Previously, she was employed as an assistant professor of Economics at the University of Oslo, a senior researcher at University of Zurich, and a visiting scholar with the Department of Economics at MIT.  She is an applied economist and her research focuses on international trade, economic geography and production networks.
