Zakaria is a doctoral candidate in International Relations & Political Science, specializing in political economy, at The Geneva Graduate Institute. His doctoral research focuses on the etiology and dynamics of trade wars and their impact on international cooperation.
Academics aside, Zakaria has contributed to economic research and policy analysis for international organizations such as the WTO and OECD, among other institutions.
