Profile


Yuchen is a PhD researcher in International Economics at the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID), supervised by Prof. Julia Cajal Grossi. Her research is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and currently focuses on urban economics, with a particular emphasis on discrete choice models and simulations, as well as the intersection of international trade and development economics.


Yuchen holds a master’s degree in Applied Economics with distinction from City University of Hong Kong and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Prior to her doctoral studies, Yuchen has gained valuable research experience working with Prof. Robin Kaiji GONG (HKUST), Prof. Chang SUN (HKU), and Prof. Hanwei HUANG (CityU). She is proficient in a range of programming languages, including Python, STATA, R, Java, and C++.
