Profile
My research attempts to analyze how/if women’s access to formal employment contributed to changing understandings of gender roles in society. The study focusing on the entry of Ethiopian women into the civil service examines the social landscape. Looking into the lives of women in both the public and private spheres the research seeks to reconstruct the changing women’s socio-economic role and status. I received my bachelor's degree in History and Heritage Management and master's degree in History from Addis Ababa University.
