Laura joined the Global Health Centre team in 2024 and currently works as a Project Assistant for the "Building a Community of Practice on Global Health R&D" initiative, hosted by the Global Health Centre at the Geneva Graduate Institute.

She is a medical doctor specialising in pediatrics, with extensive experience in humanitarian services and primary health care programmes. Laura recently completed a Master’s in International and Development Studies with an emphasis on global health at the Geneva Graduate Institute. Her professional background also includes work at the intersection of migration and health, as well as several years as a practicing pediatrician in Colombia.
