PHD THESIS

Title: The (Re)Shaping of Sectarianism and Communitarianism in Settler Colonial Contexts: The Case of Palestine

PhD Supervisor: Riccardo Bocco and Mohamed Mahmoud MOHAMEDOU

My thesis explores the re-shaping of sectarianism (ethno-religious identity) and communitarianism among Palestinian citizens of Israel within the settler colonial context. It traces the relationships between state-implemented settler-colonial techniques and the resurgence of sectarianization, analyzing its impacts on local politics as well as daily social and spatial practices.
