Katherine leads the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, the sister organisation of the World Economic Forum, which she has led since 2012. The Schwab Foundation manages the largest late-stage network of social entrepreneurs in the world, and in her capacity as head of the foundation, she oversees due diligence on the Schwab Foundation’s annual Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award, sets strategy and research initiatives, manages donor and board relations, and heads global programmes and services for late-stage social entrepreneurs.

Katherine regularly gives guest lectures to undergraduate students in multiple countries, serves as an adjunct faculty at the University of Geneva, and has given keynote and plenary addresses at the Social Good Summit in 2016 and 2017, Social Innovation Summit 2017 and 2018, the Vatican, Stanford’s Frontiers in Social Innovation conference, and elsewhere.  Katherine’s previous work experience includes a Sheldon Knox Research Fellowship at Harvard University (2004-2005); a Global Leadership Fellow of the World Economic Forum (2005-2009); and a consultant to several US-based non-profits. She received her B.A. from Dartmouth College and her Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she was the recipient of the Pforzheimer Scholarship for Excellence in Nonprofit Management.
