Profile


Mentari’s recent work has been on memory studies in the context of post-military dictatorship and state violence in Indonesia. Her Master’s research was titled “Mengingat Genosida ’65: Remembering the 1965 Anti-Communist Genocide in Indonesia” where she explored remembering as a framework of resistance against state violence in Indonesia. She is currently an active member of ALTERSEA and Warisan Ingatan. Mentari is a published poet, storyteller, and artist.
