Angèle Mendy joined the Geneva Graduate Institute as a Visiting Lecturer teaching migration and health from an international perspective and as Faculty Lead supervising the Applied Research Projects (ARPs) in global health.
Angèle holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Lausanne. Her research focuses on the internal and international mobility and migration of African health professionals and their impacts on the provision of health care to populations.
Dr. Mendy is a former Takemi Fellow in International Health (2020 - 2022) at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health where she currently supports Dr. Jesse Bump's research on the historical roots of health inequalities, the logic of domination of resources, and the control of medical knowledge in global health in Africa.
