PROFILE

Agustín Giustiniani is a PhD candidate at the International Law Department. He holds a law degree from the National University of Rosario and a master´s degree in Governance and Human Rights from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Agustín has more than six years of working experience in both the private and public sectors in Buenos Aires, Washington DC, Madrid, and Geneva.

Before starting his PhD, he worked as a Junior Legislative Adviser at the National Congress (2013-2015), interned at the Interamerican Commission on Human Rights in Washington DC (2018), and served as a Policy and International Affairs Specialist for a Spanish public company (2018-2020). In Geneva, he has worked as a Human Rights – Legal Officer for the Permanent Mission of the Argentine Republic to the United Nations Office in Geneva.

Teaching Experience

Agustín has taught International Law and Human Rights at the National University of Rosario, where he is affiliated to the research project “The deficits and challenges of the Antarctic Treaty System in the 21st Century. New approaches to new circumstances” (2018- )”.
