Final wrap-up for the research project “Stories of the Future: Youth shaping the role of Artificial Intelligence in democracy”. The project has come to an end after three years of research, exploring, through an innovative participatory approach, giving young people the opportunity to express their opinions, perspectives and concerns about the future of democracy in Switzerland, and the role that AI will play in it. Through a series of events, including two fictitious trials in Geneva and Zurich, the project aimed to question the use of artificial intelligence and raise awareness of the potential risks of its use in democratic debate.
Finally, the project concluded in Lugano, during the AI Week organized by the Lugano Living Lab and the City of Lugano, with a presentation of the research project's findings and a discussion on the role of AI in education and democracy.
To conclude this research project, the Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy presents in this video the highlights and perspectives of the “Stories of Democracy” project.
