The United Nations Library in Geneva

Welcome, Graduate Institute students! The UN Library is open not just to staff and diplomats, but also to students and independent researchers.

Its collections comprise more than 1,500,000 physical volumes, as well as electronic resources that include 70 databases and 70,000 e-journals, centered around subjects relevant to the Graduate Institute curriculum: international relations, international law, human rights, migration and refugee studies, the environment, economics and social sciences, just to name a few!

Students can also consult a wealth of resources that attract researchers from around the world: an exhaustive collection of UN documents (more than 4,000,000 documents in the six official UN languages), the Archives of the League of Nations and the Office of the United Nations in Geneva, and historic government publications.
