Some professors and students from the department went to the lovely village of La Fouly in Wallis to meet prof Biersteker and to watch the "Désalpes" (more info here), the procession of the cows returning from the mountains to the valley for the Winter.
It was a wonderful sunny day and everybody enjoyed the typical Swiss cheese and Swiss traditions.
