Stephanie Kleine-Ahlbrandt, recognised expert in Asian affairs, will join the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) this autumn.

Stephanie Kleine-Ahlbrandt will join USIP as director of Asia-Pacific programmes. In addition to managing existing programmes, Stephanie will develop new projects to prevent, manage, and resolve conflicts in the region. She is currently based in Beijing as the North East Asia project director and China advisor for the International Crisis Group where she undertakes research and analysis on the role of China in conflict zones around the world. Stephanie Kleine-Ahlbrandt has previously worked with the Council on Foreign Relations, the United Nations, and the US State Department. She holds a master’s degree in political science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (1996).
