Run for Camarada

In association with the Graduate Institute's Gender Dialogue Initiative, Giulia Raimondo, Research Assistant at the Global Migration Centre (GMC) is running the Geneva Marathon on 06 May, 2017 to support Camarada, a local NGO which provides professional training for migrant women in Geneva.

Women are more likely to suffer from exclusion and poverty in case of displacement due to their marginalized position in most societies. Camarada assists migrant women with their integration process in Geneva by providing French, sport and art courses as well as vocational training.

The money raised through the marathon will be used for Camarada’s employment program, which supports migrant women's entrance into the local job market and their professional development.
