Robert Stefanski of the WMO presents at CIES

On 24 March 2015 Robert Stefanski, Chief of the Agricultural Meteorology Division at the World Meteorological Organization gave a lecture on the importance on weather and climate information for farmers and policy-makers. In his talk, Mr. Stefanski addressed the mandate of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to assist the countries of the world, especially the National Weather Services of each country, in protecting life and property against natural disasters, safeguarding the environment and enhancing the economic and social well-being of all sectors of society in areas such as food security, water resources and transport.  The slides of his presentation can be found here.
