Professor Yi Huang meets Tokyo Chapter

On January 4th, Professor Hae Bong Shin (Master in International Law, ’93), President of the Tokyo Chapter, welcomed Yi Huang, Graduate Institute Assistant Professor of International Economics and Pictet Chair for Finance and Development for a dinner in Tokyo.

They were joined by Miguel Perez-La Plante, Head of Public Affairs at the Embassy of Switzerland, Ai Ozawa (Master in Political Sciences, ’06), Researcher at the International Development Center of Japan,  Gen Nakatomi (MIA, ’15), Management Consultant at Bloomberg, and Maiko Sawada (Master in International History, ’08), Lecturer at Toyama University of International Studies.

Gen Nakatomi was especially happy to meet Professor Huang, who had been his supervisor at the Institute, and Professor Shin said that teaching staff like Professor Huang were making the Institute faculty ever more dynamic and diverse. They all expressed their gratitude to the Institute for organising the event.

As Professor Shin will be on a sabbatical leave in Paris from April 2017 to March 2018, acting as a visiting researcher at the Université Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), we look forward to welcoming her back to the Graduate Institute!
