Professor Andrea Bianchi addressed the Cambridge Conference on Interpretation hosted by the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law this past August. He sat on the keynote panel with Sir David Baragwanath (President, Special Tribunal for Lebanon), Dr Ingo Venzke (University of Amsterdam) and Prof James Crawford (University of Cambridge).
The conference sought to examine interpretation as a self-standing area of study which has received little attention until recently. The need for methodological awareness across the board in theory and practice emerged as a concern. Professor Philip Allott of the University of Cambridge closed the conference.
