Prof Giacomo Luciani Receives Lifetime Achievement Award in Qatar from International Energy Awards Foundation

March 2015 - The Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards Foundation of Qatar has announced Dr. Giacomo Luciani, Adjunct Professor, Interdisciplinary Programmes at the Graduate Institute, as the Winner of the 2015 International Energy Award for Lifetime Achievement for the Advancement of Education for Future Energy Leaders.  The ceremony will be held at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha (photo, above) on May 5, 2015.

Giacomo-Luciani.pngDr. Giacomo Luciani is a co-founder and Co-Director of the Executive Master in International Oil and Gas Leadership, a programme of the Institute's Executive Education division, now in its third cohort and accepting applications for its fourth cohort in Fall 2015.  Dr. Luciani is also Scientific Director of the Master in International Energy of the Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences-Po.  He is currently delivering a MOOC (with SciencesPo) and maintains a blog of energy-related news and commentary.

The Al-Attiyah Foundation established this International Energy Award for Lifetime Achievement, now in its third year, to recognize distinguished individuals for an outstanding record of accomplishment over the span of a full academic career -- acknowledging individuals who have made an exceptional impact with distinct personal achievements for a consistent and prolonged period of engagement.  Previous winner of the award in 2014 was Prof. Tan Chorh Chuan, President, National University of Singapore.
