On Friday, 24 May 2019. the faculty from the Department of Anthropology and Sociology held a pedagogical retreat at Villa Barton. The aim was to hold in depth discussions on the philosophy and approach adopted in MA and PhD compulsory courses taught by the ANSO Department, which includes Social Theory I and II, and PhD Seminar I and II respectively. The event served as an opportunity to identify strategies that will further reinforce the youngest academic department at the Institute to ensure it remains a conducive environment for advanced learning and unparalleled research.
