New Visiting Fellow at the Global Migration Centre

The Global Migration Centre is very pleased to a new visiting fellows this semester, Roeland de Wilde.

Roeland de Wilde's research interests as Senior Fellow are on innovation in migration governance. He worked most recently for the International Organization for Migration as Head of the Preparedness, Response Division in Iraq, focused on humanitarian assistance, disaster risk reduction capacity strengthening, and innovative Ecosystems-based Adaptation programming. Before that, he worked as IOM Chief of Mission in Costa Rica, Special Assistant to the IOM Director General, and as a humanitarian programme manager in Afghanistan. He has also worked in private wealth management compliance, business intelligence, and on independent consulting projects. His academic background is in anthropology and development, with a Ph.D. focused on informal sector dynamics, risk management, regulation and economic mobility.
