New Research Project funded by Swiss Federal Office for Energy

In September the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) announced the selection of a CIES project as part of its Energy - Economy - Society research programme.  The project will be conducted by Professor Tim Swanson and Dr. Joelle Noailly and will finance a PhD student position to work on the impact of innovation on sectoral energy intensity in Switzerland.  The research aims to investigate how green innovation can contribute to improve the energy intensity of various sectors in Switzerland and other OECD countries.  The project which qualified for the competitive selection of the SFOE research programme has been chosen for its academic excellence and relevance for Swiss energy policymaking.
