New publications by Alaa Tartir

We are happy to inform you about three new publications by Alaa Tartir, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre on Conflict, Development & Peacebuilding and the the Department of Anthropology & Sociology of Development.

The first one is a book-chapter on “Contentious Economics in Occupied Palestine” in the edited volume “Contentious Politics in the Middle East” by Prof. Fawaz Gerges.

The second one is a op-ed that he co-wrote on the resignation of Mahmoud Abbas as chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) with the title "And when Abbas goes?" which also attracted a lot of attention.

The third one is an academic article entitled “The Evolution and Reform of Palestinian Security Forces 1993-2013”, and was just published by Stability: International Journal of Security & Development.
