MINT Students Nominated for Prototypes for Humanity 2025 Award

Applications for the Prototypes for Humanity 2025 programme are now open and one of our ARPs has been nominated on: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for the Pursuit of Human Right. This was conducted with the Geneva Academy, under the academic guidance of Erica Moret.

Leveraging Artifical Intelligence for the Pursuit of Human Rights

ARP Project

The nominated project addresses a critical gap in policy discourse on AI and human rights. While debates predominantly focus on the negative impacts of AI systems, this research takes a different approach. The primary goal was to identify potential ways to leverage AI for the pursuit of human rights. It concludes that, if developed and deployed responsibly, AI presents an opportunity for advancing human rights. Several illustrative use cases highlight applications in this frontier field. It also addresses limiting factors and risks to be managed and mitigated if the full potential is to be realized.
