Ambassador Louis-José Touron and Ambassador Claude Heller Rouassant have co-hosted the sixth alumni meeting of the Institute’s Mexico Chapter.
Whilst having lunch, the speakers shared some of their experiences as alumni and as members of diplomatic missions throughout the world. Claude Heller Rouassant talked about the importance student exchange programmes have had in his life. He enrolled at the Institute thanks to an exchange programme between the Institute and Colmex, Mexico, where he studied for his first degree.
Today, the Graduate Institute organises student and faculty exchanges, as well as joint degrees, with academic institutions throughout the world.
Claude Heller Rouassant also described some of the best moments in his diplomatic career as the Mexican Representative to the United Nations Security Council. Regarding Mexican diplomacy, Louis-José Heller welcomed the recent decision by the Mexican government to take part in peace-keeping operations.
The Mexico Chapter is delighted with the outcome of this encounter and is looking forward to holding similar future events.
