Joy Onyesoh wins the NOA Citizen Responsibility Award

Joy Onyesoh has won the NOA Citizen Responsibility Award in Nigeria.

Joy Onyesoh works for Nigeria section of the Women's League of Peace and Freedom (WILPF). She is currently the research coordinator in Nigeria of PGGC's project on The Gender Dimensions of Social Conflicts, Armed Violence and Peacebuilding.

"Joy is thrilled at the recognition. She received the award on behalf of Nigerian women who worked tirelessly both visibly and behind the scene to ensure that there is peace and stability in Nigeria before, during and after the elections. It is a reaffirmation of what women can achieve when we work collectively  and speak the message of peace."
