The Global Migration Centre is pleased to announce that Siow Boon CHIA (Master in Anthropology and Sociology of Development) and Yuki KOBAYASHI (Master of development Studies) were rewarded by the 2013 GMC Award for their outstanding Master theses devoted to Global Migration. Congratulations to both laureates!

Siow Boon CHIA’s thesis is entitled In the Mountain, by the Sea: Dialectics of Language and Identity among Chinese Overseas. Yuki KOBAYASHI’s thesis is devoted to Language Education for Migrant Workers and Their Social Integration in Japan. The two theses will be published within the Global Migration Research Paper Series.
