Every year, the Global Migration Centre rewards one Graduate Institute student for his/her outstanding Master thesis in the field of migration.

The Global Migration Award consists of:

• the opportunity to publish the thesis within the Global Migration Research Paper Series, and

• a prize of CHF--1'000.

The Master's Dissertation must be related to migration in its broad sense (including mobility, forced or voluntary migration, transnational or internal displacement, citizenship, diaspora, discrimination, racism and the many other issues linked to the movement of persons). The perspective and methodology can be interdisciplinary or disciplinary alongside the main fields of the Graduate Institute, (i.e., international relations, political science, international law, international history, international economics, development studies, anthropology and sociology of development). Master’s theses can be written in French or English..

Applicants should send their thesis, CV, grade transcripts and thesis reports in a single PDF file to the following email address: globalmigration@graduateinstitute.ch . Applicants should name their file as follows: SURNAME_FIRSTNAME_Award2022.pdf.
