The 2019 Geneva Peace Week features more than 70 events hosted by more than 100 organizations from Geneva and beyond. The events range from workshops and exhibitions, to panels and human libraries. Topics include the role of entrepreneurship in peacebuilding, the integration of religious actors into peace and mediation, the intersection of climate change and peace, and much more.
The following list provides an overview of the Graduate Institute Geneva Peace Week events:
- 5 November: Opening Ceremony of Geneva Peace Week, featuring Professor Mohamedou as one of three keynote speakers, to speak on peacebuilding in Europe.
- 5 November: Gendered Peace in Context, in collaboration between IHEID, Women's International League for Peace, Freedom Nigeria, UNIGE, officially hosted by IHEID Gender Centre.
- 5 November: Consultation On the Urban Peace Initiative. Event convened by the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) and the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP).
