Field Research on clean energy access in Indonesia

Kathryn Chelminski, Research Associate at CIES, gave three presentations on initial empirical findings following her field research in Indonesia  this summer as part of the SNIS project, Access to Clean Energy Technology for the Green Economy in Developing Countries, co-led by Professor Liliana Andonova and Joëlle Noailly.
Ms. Chelminski gave the following presentations at the Graduate Institute:
•    "Overcoming barriers to clean energy technology diffusion: The case of geothermal energy in Indonesia," presentation at the Centre for International Environmental Studies (CIES) Brown Bag Lunch Series, 18 November, Graduate Institute, Geneva, Switzerland
•    "Divergence in the sustainable energy trinity and its implications for sustainable development: The case of Indonesia", 5 November, PhD Interdisciplinary Seminar, Graduate Institute, Geneva, Switzerland

Ms. Chelminski also presented initial findings from her field research in Indonesia through her participation in the CERI/CNRS research group at Sciences Po titled « Energie et cohésion: gouvernance, régulations et négociations.»  Led by Professor Francois Bafoil, CNRS/CERI and in partnership with Électricité de France (EDF), this research group focuses on global inequalities in energy access:. For this research group, Ms. Chelminski gave a presentation titled:
•    "Ambitions and realities of ‘energy for all’ in Indonesia,” presentation at the CNRS/CERI séminaire, 12 November, Sciences Po, Paris, France
