The European Commission Platform on Sustainable Finance has just published its Final Report on the Taxonomy Extension options supporting a sustainable transition.
15 recommendations on the key concepts and terms that can be used for an extended Taxonomy are listed in Chapter 8.
Annex 3 reviews other Transition Finance Initiatives and Taxonomies from external fora, like the OECD, the G20, NATIXIS, CBI or ICMA, that have started to develop granular concepts for financing transition efforts across levels of environmental performance.
And Annex 7 of the Report gives concrete examples of how banks and financial institutions can potentially use the extended Taxonomy in their equity and bond portofolio, or sustainable debt and performance debt approaches.
On a related topic, the Graduate Institute's Executive Education is organising an online panel discussion on "ESG Regulation - What Impact on Sustainable Finance?" with Nathan Sussman, Dawid Bastiat-Jarosz, Beatrice Weder Di Mauro, Christoph Baumann.
The panel discussion will take place on 12 May 2022 (13:00 - 14:00)
