My name is Kiana and I am a master’s student of international law in the Graduate Institute.
I do art besides my academic life. To me, art is a not about competition or accomplishment, but a very powerful medium of self-expression, where I can be comfortable in my skin and be in complete peace with myself. Through painting, I confront my emotions and how I feel in the very moment of it’s creation; from moments of pure joy and happiness to moments of sadness, fear and grief. Art helps me reconnect with my memories and feel connected to people that are sometimes far far away from me and fill their absence in my heart in times that I miss them so much. Art helps me to seize the moment, it keeps a memory of my feelings when I either not have anyone on my side to share it with or just feel that words cannot express my inner world in words.
This is my passion, this is the fingerprint of my soul !
